The first shows for the 2022 Festival are now on sale!

It’s finally time to start planning ahead! The Melbourne International Comedy Festival will return to stages across Melbourne from 30 March to 24 April 2022. After the couple of years we’ve had, it’s time to make some noise. Don’t wait to grab your tickets to the hottest shows in town!

The Festival’s much-loved GALA, proudly supporting Oxfam, launches the 2022 Festival in style. Featuring the biggest stars of comedy, together on the iconic Palais Theatre stage for one, huge, side-splitting night of laughter.

Then one week later – formally kicking off the Festival on 30 March – is the OPENING NIGHT COMEDY ALLSTARS SUPERSHOW. With a line-up of firm favourites alongside the brightest new stars of comedy, there’s no better way to welcome three (and a bit) weeks of non-stop comedy.

Our borders are open (we hope), so we’re thrilled to welcome back a roster of our favourite international friends including Stephen K Amos (UK), Flo & Joan (UK), Arj Barker (US), Jason Byrne (IRE) and Mark Watson (UK), plus New Zealanders Guy Montgomery, Melanie Bracewell and Urzila Carlson, with more international artists to be announced.

Local faves we know and love will create hundreds of the shows on offer, including Ivan Aristeguieta, Carl Barron, Becky Lucas, Harley Breen, Sam Campbell, Aaron Chen, Georgie Carroll, Nick Cody, Joel Creasey, Alice Fraser, Luke Heggie, Nazeem Hussain, Sammy J, Jimeoin, Ali McGregor, Rhys Nicholson, Andy Saunders, Chris Ryan, Dane Simpson, Michelle Brasier and Kirsty Webeck.

Other hot ticket events return next year too, with The Great Debate and Upfront going on sale next week.

Comedy fans can get in early with tickets to loads of artists now on sale, and more shows to be added weekly from here on. If you know someone who loves a laugh there’s no better Xmas gift than a Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gift Voucher!
