Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Gillian Cosgriff Actually, Good

Gillian Cosgriff won Most Outstanding Show at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and sold out her Edinburgh Festival Fringe season with this brilliant hour of hilarious original songs, killer stand-up and a big book of things that are actually good.

Her award-winning show returns to simply ask people: what do you like? The answers are simple and complex, hilarious and beautiful. Cloves. Fancy hotel foyers. Seeing a cow and yelling, “Cow!”

This is a show about the little things that make the big, hard things manageable, and pointing at the bits of the world that make you yell, "Wow! Isn’t this great?!"

'Actually, Good is more than a comedy show, it’s a tiny revolution in how to view the world.' ★★★★★ The Scotsman

'A joyous, funny, life-affirming show.' ★★★★★ Chortle (UK)

'An incredibly affirming and funny show.' ★★★★½ The Age

'Don’t miss it!' ★★★★★ Theatre Matters
