Congratulations to the 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Awards Nominees & Winners!

The nominees for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards have been announced, sparking excitement in the comedy world. This prestigious award, formerly known as the Perrier Comedy Award, is the pinnacle of recognition for comedic talent emerging from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Last year, Ahir Shah, known for his standout performance in New Order (2017), took home the award for Best Show, while Urooj Ashfaq, who enjoyed a sold-out run at the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, won Best Newcomer. This year, they’ll be passing the torch to one of the brilliant 2024 nominees — a wonderfully diverse group of comedians, some of whom you might already know and love!

Among the 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees, Sarah Keyworth stands out, having already won the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Award for Most Outstanding Show, and we are thrilled to see them recognized at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Josh Glanc, known for his side-splitting performances at many Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, including the 2024 Allstars Supershow, has also earned a nomination for his show Family Man. Reuben Kaye, another Melbourne International Comedy Festival favourite, has captured the attention of audiences with his show Live and Intimidating. We are excited to see these local talents shining on the international stage.

Catherine Bohart’s Again, With Feelings delighted Melbourne audiences earlier this year, and her nomination in Edinburgh is well-deserved. Natalie Palamides, who last wowed Melbourne with her encore hit Laid, is nominated for Weer, marking yet another nomination for this creative force. Special mentions go to Amy Gledhill for Make Me Look Fit On The Poster and Chris Cantrill for Easily Swayed, adding to the excitement as we look forward to discovering this year’s deserving winners.
