Rude Words You Should Never Say

  • Australia

We’re told some words are too rude to mention. Bum, poo, vomit. All unspeakable. And when we can’t speak? We sing.

Rude Words You Should Never Say is an hour of original songs and stand-up for kids aged 6-12, but with something for little grubs of all ages. Through original songs, come and explore the history of silly words through a variety of musical styles. By the end, you’ll be able to spell E-T-Y-M-O-L-O-G-Y and say ‘fart’ in six different languages. Written and performed by comedian, cabaret artist and former opera singer, Alice Tovey.

More than just a toilet joke fest (though don’t worry, there will be toilet jokes), it’s about saying no to body shame and owning the parts of ourselves that we may feel uncomfortable about.

Bring your parents, bring your friends and bring a bin, because it’s going to get yucky.

Suitable for audiences 6-12

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
