Andrew Barnett

Simple

  • Australia

Andrew 'Barney' Barnett is a simple man. Growing up he was always told “keep it simple stupid”. But in a modern world full of online influencers, AI chat bots and ever raging culture wars, living the simple life seems more complicated than ever.

Whether it’s trying to keep up with the latest social trends, be a good husband or raise two teenage boys in a way that is not considered child abuse, Barney is finding the simple funny in all of it. He is on a quest to cut through the bullshit, find the joy and become what his Year 8 science teacher always said he was – “a simpleton”.

Simple is an hour of laughs at the expense of the over complicated, the unnecessary… and sometimes Barney’s kids (well teenage boys in general… but more specifically Barney’s kids).

"Simple man with a heart of gold in a complicated land.” Cold Chisel

Suitable for audiences 15+

Language – occasional coarse language
