Barb Chucks A Party

  • Australia

It's Barb's son's 21st birthday and someone (Gayle) forgot to organise the entertainment. So Barb is stepping up!

It's comedy, it's chit chats, it's Mabo, it's games, it's roaming entertainment galore. It's a mother's love trying to save her son's big day (which she paid for).

Barb is a 52-year-old divorcée (we don't mention his name) doing her best in life. She keeps her loved ones close, as well as her handbag because you can never be too careful these days. Her favourite things are Sunday coffee club with Gayle and two shots of vodka before getting out of bed in the morning.

Join Barb and her son Jett for his big boy birthday bonanza.

Dinner options can be pre-purchased with tickets, including The Birmy's award-winning parma and more (yes I said "parma" because I'm not an idiot like Gayle).

Performed by Lisa Gatenby, a comedian and entertainer for all ages.

Lisa has sold out festival shows, guest hosted on Triple M radio and toured across Australia, NZ and the US. She’s opened for legends such as Dave Hughes, Dave O'Neil, Dave Thornton and more who aren’t named Dave.

Her character Barb has been winning hearts (and Priceline giveaways) for the last few years, hosting events around Melbourne with a growing cult following.

'Her audience interaction is the definition of engagement.' Weekend Notes

Lisa's kids comedy character and show Winni Wizard continues to sell out shows around Australia with rave reviews from all ages. And also performing at this year's festival.

'Wonderful interactive and high energy entertainment from start to finish.' ★★★★½ Kids In Adelaide

'Her antics and mishaps will have everyone in stitches.' Kiddo Mag

Suitable for audiences 15+

Language – occasional coarse language

Licensed venue: under 18s will only be permitted with a parent or guardian
