Chelsea Heaney

Big Pants

  • Australia

Ever worn one outfit for so long that it begins to form layers of sweat, counting the days like rings on a tree? That’s what happened to fat, queer and anxiety riddled comedian Chelsea Heaney when she lost her luggage on Contiki.

If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry, so why not do both!?

Chelsea Heaney is a comedian on the rise. Her signature awkwardly honest humour keeps audiences in stitches. A twice RAW Comedy State Finalist (VIC 2024, ACT 2023), Chelsea’s debut cabaret Historians Call Us Roommates sold out at the 2024 Midsumma Carnival.

Directed by award-winning clown and writer Penny Greenhalgh.

'I do look forward to seeing what this talented comedian and singer does next. I expect it will be very good.' Theatre Travels

Suitable for audiences 18+

Language – strong coarse language

Strong sexual references

References to self-harm and suicide

Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
