Jessica Barton

Dirty Work

  • Australia

Mary Floppins has cracked the s**ts. Wipe the wee from the toilet seat and pick up your dirty undies, because The Perfect Nanny is back to teach all you little boys – and girls – a thing or two about running a prim and proper household.

Jessica Barton is a triple-threat clown, combining her professional musical theatre degree with her professional training from L'Ecole Philippe Gaulier to deliver highly professional comedy, professionally. Returning home from a two-year creative sabbatical in France and London, she combines a spoonful of song, dance, clowning and deep-cleaning to present a skanky and empowering Melbourne International Comedy Festival debut.

“Finally! A show for men!” Jacob Henegan

“I really love that there’s a fully qualified triple-threat that’s doing Clown, professionally.” Neven Connolly

“It wiggled in between my own wounds and my own feelings.” Sarah Brown

Strictly for audiences 15+

Language – strong coarse language

Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
