Faking It
Adele Parkinson, once heralded as a rising star of the musical theatre, debuts her rollicking solo show Faking It. Expect singing, storytelling, delightfully conceited characters, sexy/bizarre dancing... did we mention singing?
Adele Parkinson is recognisable to Australian audiences from her roles in professional productions of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; Legally Blonde The Musical; Les Miserables and Frozen The Musical. Ironically, despite completing classical acting training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and being an alumnus of L'Ecole Gaulier, Adele considers herself a "school of hard knocks" actor. Adele attributes her impressive skill to early experiences performing in a scare attraction, where she received regular blows to the head from terrified patrons; as a children's entertainer, singing 'Let It Go' multiple times every weekend often while being kicked in the shins; and during her now infamous portrayal of T-Rex 2, the horny, transitioning Tyrannosaurus in Triassic Parq The Musical, who serenades with a tune entitled 'Dick Fix' whilst wearing a huge, silicone willy that was also black for some reason.
In addition to her work in theatre, Adele has two psychology degrees which she makes fantastic use of on front-row audience members. Thanks and apologies in advance. No refunds.
"A talented, caring person." Mother
