Aarti Vincent & Ankita Ghosh

Gen-XXX

  • Australia
  • India
  • Vietnam

Gen-XXX is a fearlessly raunchy, delectably authentic stand-up hour conceived, written and performed by Aarti and Ankita, two fearless Gen-X comics who believe this human existence is hilariously insignificant and hence, life is nothing but a series of…  jokes!

Gen-XXX is a deep, intimate and incisive female gaze at life and people – friends, relatives, parents, kids, colleagues, dates, partners and sundry.

Aarti and Ankita are both born Indians, but living abroad, which makes their observations intriguingly 'same same but different'. Aarti is a resident of Australia while Ankita lives in Vietnam.

Aarti has performed and sold out shows at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Indonesia and Vietnam, while Ankita has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, London, Los Angeles, Dubai, Melbourne, Malaysia, Thailand and India.

'Aarti is a great storyteller, weaving life events and experiences into her stand-up routines.' Glam Adelaide

'Life lessons, risk-taking and chance encounters paved the path to comedy for this Indian comic in Vietnam.' The Telegraph (India)

Suitable for audiences 18+

Language – occasional coarse language

Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
