Blake Everett

Kindly Remove Your Shoes

  • Australia

Take off your shoes (slippers provided) and step into the cosiest show of the Festival! The comedian (Blake) will be wearing a dressing gown, so if you don’t want to feel left out, you can bring your own. Once everyone is comfy, Blake will perform an hour of comedy (and one poem).

Blake Everett is a versatile performer, having started publicly performing comedy at 14, with his fourth ever gig being the Class Clowns National Final at Melbourne Town Hall. He then did his first hour at 18, whilst still in Year 12, and has since brought a new show to every Melbourne International Comedy Festival since 2016.

He has won an Adelaide Fringe Weekly Award for Best Comedy for his duo show Blake Everett and Oliver Coleman: Dig Their Own Graves, which received five and 4½ star reviews, sold out runs and a return season to Adelaide Fringe. He was nominated for Best Music at the 2023 Melbourne Fringe for his show Video Games Made My Son Like Country Music. Most recently, Blake released an album with The ‘Wham, Bam, Thank You’ Jam, an improvised musical comedy jam band.
