We're on the hunt for Australia's newest funny person to take to the stage
Now's the time to share your comic genius-ness with us!

We're set to hit every corner of Australia on the hunt for the country's freshest and funniest! The Festival's RAW Comedy, Deadly Funny and Class Clowns competitions are officially open... and we want YOU!

By entering you could win a trip to Melbourne to perform with us at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, plus some cash, or perhaps a trip to Edinburgh. Come on Australia, show us what you’ve got!


Throw your hat in the ring and join the fairground of funny at RAW Comedy, Australia’s largest and most prestigious comedy competition!

RAW Comedy has cannonballed some of the nation’s finest funny-makers into comedy acclaim – Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Celia Pacquola, Matt Okine, Anne Edmonds, Becky Lucas and Aaron Chen, just to name a few. Step out of the stands and onto the stage!

Cheeky and loud, black and proud, Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Deadly Funny crosses the country to unearth some of the freshest, fiercest and funniest from the oldest culture on earth!

Entering its 14th year, Deadly Funny has seen the likes of Steph Tisdell, Kevin Kropinyeri, Andy Saunders, Shiralee Hood and Sean Choolburra join the program as both participants and mentors.

The search is on for Australia’s funniest teens! Class Clowns is the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's national secondary school comedy competition. If you’re aged 14-18 and have a stand-up, sketch, physical or musical comedy act we want you!
