Angus Gordon The Mole

Winner Best Newcomer 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Winner RAW Comedy 2015

I have written a show called The Mole. A doctor examined one of my moles. The doctor collapsed, dead. A second doctor burst through the door, saw my mole and died. A third doctor investigated the mole and died. Then a fourth doctor, then a fifth and then I lost count. This went on for some time and was a significant strain on the medical system. They kept coming in, climbing over their deceased colleagues who were piling up in the doorway. None of them stopped for a second to examine the fallen out of misplaced professional obligation, for they had sworn an oath to protect their patient (me) above all else. After a while I stopped paying attention and started reading an article about the effects of population bottlenecks on human evolution on my phone. There is only so long you can look at tragedy before you have to turn away out of boredom.

This show will be funny, silly, humorous, amusing, witty, climatic and most importantly of all profitable. It’s obviously about COVID-19 but I’ll tell everyone it’s about a mole so it makes it more interesting.
