Aarti Vincent, Lisa Gatenby & Pradeepa Timmermans Miss-Understanding

IN PERSON

Aarti Vincent, Lisa Gatenby & Pradeepa Timmermans Miss-Understanding

Three wise women tickle your sweet spot, creating magic from misunderstandings. A comedic culmination of cross cultural confusion as they explore each other's differences. Three generations, three life stories, three different backgrounds. Along with laughter we bring you gifts of lamingtons, daal and burnt toast!

Pradeepa Timmermans, wife and mother by day, out singing 'The Slut Song' by night. (Check out the video on YouTube!) Here to smash the stigma, she'll also massage your mojo with 'You Don't Have To Be Skinny To Be Sexy' – curvaceous anthem!! Revealing reality in her podcast 'Uncomfortable Truths', exploring taboos. Pradeepa is not good at keeping things hush, hush. She is curious, hilarious, explosive and very prone to miss-understandings!

Aarti Vincent gave up teaching yoga for comedy and being sketchy. She's from a theatre background in Delhi. They say she's a born actor. The first question she asked after arriving in Australia from India was, “Where are all the kangaroos?”

'Aarti Vincent opens the work with a hilarious and perfectly paced stand up routine – taking insightful swipes at religion, family and the patriarchy, with a fresh and cheeky perspective.' Australian Arts Review

Lisa Gatenby is a comedian, host, children's storyteller and toy expert. Basically only here for the fun stuff! Her high energy and enthusiasm entertains audiences from young to old. With her alcoholic, divorcee, school teacher vibe, she has performed across Australia, as well as the US. Watch out for her witty word play, it’ll get ya!

'Almost really funny.' Audience member

'She reminded me of Kitty Flannagan... in looks.' Different audience member

As the youngest of the three and most tech savvy (doesn’t mean a lot), I don’t know what they would’ve done without me.

Please note, the following performances will be filmed: Tue 12 Apr, Wed 13 Apr, Thu 14 Apr, Fri 15 Apr, Sat 16 Apr & Sun 17 Apr.
