Whether it’s a powerpoint, song, or image, it’s always a little bit exciting when a stand-up brings something different to the stage. We get it all in Jordan Barr’s Dog Why, the comic kicking off with an expertly crafted powerpoint about herself, a great aperitif for any new fans.

Jordan’s a pro at the form, each joke is masterfully crafted for maximum effect, whether she’s telling us about a euro trip, a massage, or a visit to the plastic surgeon, you’re drawn into every word she says. She’s also worked out the formula for a successful button on a joke — after acing the perfect punchline, we were all brought back in with an often funnier joke soon thereafter.

Closing the show with a far-too-funny-to-spoil-here powerpoint serenaded by Jordan singing ‘Don’t You Ever Know You’re My Hero’, Dog Why’s an insane but delightful journey through Jordan Barr’s mind, and is definitely worth your time this festival.
