Lou Wall - Breaking The Fifth Wall

Lou Wall loves to lie. Or do they? Breaking The Fifth Wall takes you on a journey, but you’re driving, blindfolded, and leading a tour group all at the same time.
It’s not fair to spoil the show here, it must be seen to be believed. From the minute you walk up the Comedy Republic stairs, nothing is what it seems. Lou’s a comedic force, who’s an expert at holding our hand through the show, but letting go just as we reach the other side of the road. A strong multimedia offering aids Breaking The Fifth wall, Lou is an expert at interacting with the screen, not letting it overtake at any point.
The show is about a big lie Lou told, but a few more lies creep into the retelling. It’s astounding that they’ve also avoided any hats on hats, any joke that builds on another simply works. Lou and director Zoe Coombs Marr are on a winner here, Breaking The Fifth Wall easily taking the mantle for one of the best written shows at this year’s festival.
