Paul Williams - Don't Look At Me

Paul Williams usually brings the Melbourne Comedy Festival a solitary story leading to the perfect denouement — but this year we’re treated with a normal standup set from the comedian. For the first time, Paul’s telling us all about his life.
It’s interesting to peek behind the curtain of the star who can sometimes come across a little bit mysterious. These stories and jokes show us why he’s become such a part of the comedy fabric. At times it did feel more like a random array of stories over a show with a through line, which is a bit of a change if you're used to Paul’s usual style. But whenever he was knee deep in a retelling, he was on fire. If you’ve seen any of Paul’s work over the last half a decade, you’d know his passion for music seeps through his comedy, and Don’t Look At Me is jam packed with hilarious musical motifs, Paul serenades the audience alongside virtuosic piano skills and a heavenly voice.
Paul’s one of the most prolific voices out there, and continues to impress with his Comedy Festival offerings.
