Whether it's on a panel show, Gruen, or one of his last 29 Comedy Festival shows, there's no question we've all had a chuckle at a Wil Anderson joke before.

That's the perfect way to sum up his style in Wilegitimate, jokes aren't too out there — he's like a comedy multitool, there's something for everyone in this hour. This meant maybe a story or two lacked some edge, but it suited today's Sunday arvo audience, as he told us, he was performing to his ABC crowd.

The show is a last hurrah of his 2024 hit, which is all about his relationship with his dad. These stories, from growing up on a dairy farm with him, or trekking through the relationship as an adult, were clearly areas that haven't been the kindest to Wil's mental health, but he finds the humour in them with heart and honesty, making the show feel warm and relatable.

While there's probably no more opportunities to see this show, Wil's a comedic staple that's definitely worth crossing off your list.
