Best of the Edinburgh Fest

  • United Kingdom

Best of the Edinburgh Fest is one of Melbourne’s favourite and original line-up shows, and it’s back in 2025!

Three international acts for the price of one!

Get ready to witness Mark Simmons (UK), Andy Askins (UK) and Harry Stachini (UK).

This is the one Comedy Festival show which is not to be missed.

Mark Simmons is "a master of the crisp, clean, one-liner zinger" (Evening Standard, UK) and won Dave’s Best Joke of the Fringe at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe. As seen on BBC’s Mock The Week and BT Sport, Mark has been busy on his debut tour where he's done 200+ dates and sold over 20,000 tickets. He has a podcast ('Jokes With Mark') where he interviews other comedians such as Rob Beckett and Sarah Millican about jokes they couldn’t get to work. Mark has also amassed a huge online following for his highly popular on-the-spot improvised one-liners with audiences across the world. He Is releasing his debut tour show, Quip Off The Mark as a comedy special on YouTube in December 2024.

Andy Askins has become a sought-after headliner at the UK's major comedy clubs, earning admiration from both audiences and fellow comedians alike. His expertly crafted routines are masterpieces littered with an eclectic mix of offbeat original comic songs and parodies. If a panda and Chuck Norris ever had a child, it still wouldn't match Andy Askins' efficiency at disarming people. You never quite know what he is going to say, and his setup lines rival most people's punchlines. Watching him perform is an absolute blast.

Harry Stachini performed his debut Edinburgh Fringe show to sell-out audiences in 2019. Since then he has gone on to perform to sell-out audiences in his home town of Manchester and overseas in Asia and Europe.

His second solo show Grenade was a roaring success at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe having achieved a complete sold-out run, alongside a host of 4 and 5-star reviews and a best show nomination. He was praised for his "modern observational storytelling at its best" (On The Mic) and "polished performance, honest observations and relatable material" (Scottish Field).

This is a night of unbeatable world-class comedy that will have you “smiling beginning to end, and slightly out of breath from laughing so much” (This is Radelaide).
