Sunny Youngsmith

Cabin Pressure

  • Australia

Cabin Pressure is a one-of-a-kind comedy experience – part immersive theatre, part clown-fuelled chaos and all high altitude hilarity. Passengers will choose their seats based on the level of audience participation they’re up for, sealing their fate (for the next 55 minutes). Board the plane, passive aggressively recline your seat and prepare for a journey through the social experiment we call economy.

Expect tiny wine in tiny bottles, a gabble in the galley, reluctant stand-up over the intercom and one man inexplicably clipping his toenails at 30,000 feet.

Bulging with prop comedy, musical turbulence and a tapestry of drag personas, Cabin Pressure finally addresses the bizarre modern ritual that everyone else is afraid to talk about – getting into a giant metal tube with hundreds of strangers and blasting through the sky.

Flaps up for take off as your deeply questionable pilot takes you in a different direction every single night, decided by the passengers brave enough to venture into their cockpit.

It’s going to get silly, it’s going to get messy and then it’s going to get a bit awkward afterwards.

Buckle up, no two flights are the same.

‘Riotous roller coaster ride as Sunny brings to life the awkward, loveable and very vegan friendly Meaty Sue.’ R L Smith

‘Exceptionally talented performer... Meaty Sue’s Big Farma shines as a vehicle for Youngsmith’s character work.’ Ryan Hamilton

‘Comedic stylings and skills of the likes of a Jennifer Saunders or a Gina Riley... a true comedic force to be reckoned with... Youngsmith is one of the most exciting comedic talents that we have in Australia at the moment.’ ★★★★ Lilithia Reviews

‘Blew me away.’ Theatre Thoughts

‘Incredibly entertaining.’ Theatre Travels
