Andrea Barello
Full of Grace
Full of Grace follows Father Andrea, a very peculiar clergyman as he administers a very peculiar worship service. With hoses-down of holy water and parishioners caught somewhere between a Hail Mary and a Macarena, this not-so-young Padre clearly grew up Catholic in the most Catholic country. He can't bring you to Italy with him, but he’s determined to find you a place in heaven.
After a successful run at Adelaide Fringe ("It feels like Mr Bean suddenly deciding to take up ministry", The List), Father Andrea arrives in Melbourne, ready to show you the path to salvation.
From the creator of the award winning Tonight! a clown who wanted to be loved? ("classical European clowning at its best" ★★★★, The Clothesline) a new charming and eccentric character who will make you see church in a new light and, hopefully, repent of your sins!
'Blessed are those who book a ticket – for theirs is a very funny night at church.' ★★★★★ Fringe Benefits Podcast
Andrea Barello, born and raised in Italy, approached the world of comedy in San Francisco through improvisation and performed with different ensembles, including the Turkish-Italian duo Euro Trash. When he stumbled into clowning, he immediately knew that he had found his home.
In 2023 he created Tonight!, his first solo show. Between 2024 and 2025 it was presented at Edinburgh Fringe, Toronto Fringe Festival, Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It has received great reviews and audience response, and won the A Moontagna Fest award at the Catania Fringe (Italia Off) 2024.
Since 2024 he has started a collaboration with Clowns without Borders USA and Llaven nü Mexico, and participates in humanitarian clown projects aimed at displaced and vulnerable populations.
In 2026 he began to tour his second solo show, Full of Grace, where he plays a very peculiar and clumsy clergyman.
When he's not clowning around he lives in Los Angeles, where he hikes in the Hollywood hills and creates silly clown acts.
