Scout Boxall
God's Favourite
Winner Pinder Prize 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival
Nominee for Most Outstanding Show 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Award
Winner Best of Comedy Weekly Award 2025 Adelaide Fringe
Winner Judges' Pick 2024 Melbourne Fringe
After getting stranded in regional Victoria without medication for the first time in 12 years, Scout Boxall has to pull out all the psychological stops to survive one of the worst nights of their life. God’s Favourite is an exquisite, darkly funny retelling of a mental marathon through manic withdrawal. In the process, Scout imagines life in the middle ages, trawls the strange crevices of the Internet, makes peace with their own mediocrity and (briefly) surrenders to God. It’s part storytelling, part stand-up, all raw and unflinchingly real.
As seen on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala and ABC's Austin, Scout is one of the most exciting new talents in Australian comedy. Their work swings between pithy observational stand-up and manic, chaotic powerpoint comedy with a sharp political awareness.
