Haylee Deutrom

Jagged Little Jill

  • Australia

What a difference a year makes.

Haylee Deutrom returns to Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2026 with a new lease on life, a new series of hot takes and a new sense of self in the wake of navigating the current political, economical and environmental hellscape.

Minority groups are being scapegoated while the billionaires are being GOATed, weapons are protected more than humans are, and we are not ok.

But just when everything seems hopeless, we are witnessing the kind of counter-strike only pop culture can launch: a new Lily Allen collection of anthems, a fashion magazine obliterating the "male loneliness epidemic" by heralding boyfriends as embarrassing and Haylee's new offering – her first as a happily unmarried woman.

Suitable for audiences 15+

Death and grief

Language – strong coarse language

Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
