Sold Out Season Melbourne Fringe Festival 2025

A clown show about a girl who watched 2010 Romantic Comedy 'The Switch' starring Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston, and finds that the men in St Kilda are nothing like Jason!!! Now she is looking for love at the Theory Bar - Screening Room.

Created by Elise Pascoe; featuring and co-devised by Joe Billings; directed by Bronte Charlotte; sound/light operator is Harri Gabriel. 

Elise Pascoe is an actor, director, stand-up comedian and clown. She is currently studying her Honours in Performance Making at WAAPA. She regularly performs stand up comedy, and performed in the sold out show Australia's Funniest Lawyers as well as No Time For Games at the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2024 she was co-deviser and assistant director on CVNT (Winner of Best Comedy at the Melbourne Fringe Festival). 

Joe Billings is an actor and clown who has featured on stage and screen since 2015. Joe developed his love of clowning and physical comedy through training with Fabio Motta, Budi Miller, Giovanni Fusetti and Anthony Fava. He made his solo debut at the 2023 Melbourne Fringe Festival with Get It Up!, which had its encore in the 2024 Melbourne Comedy Festival. 

Bronte Charlotte is a performer, writer, director, dramaturg and producer. She is currently developing her new play through the La Mama Residencies, after being part of their Pathways program running in partnership with Australian Plays Transform. Her first play, Pieces of Shit, was nominated for 3x Green Room Awards (Independent Theatre: Best New Writing, Best Ensemble, Best Production). Along with producing, writing and performing Pieces of Shit (dir. Nick Clark) in 2022, Bronte also finished principal photography on the Melbourne based independent feature film In The Meantime (dir. Nicholas Anthony) in the lead role.
