Lauren Edwards

...and The Bermuda Triangle

  • Australia

This is a show about the time Lauren Edwards worked in the Bermuda Triangle… at Sea World on the Gold Coast.

A tale of nostalgia, ambition and rarely functioning alien animatronics, this is a love letter to theme park adults, Australiana and millennial whimsy. It’s iRobot meets H20 Just Add Water. Lauren takes you back to 2004 for the (dark) ride of your life. Blending infectious storytelling with sharp gags and hits of nostalgia straight to the veins, all delivered amongst layers of her pithy social commentary; transforming a seemingly niche piece of Australian cultural history into a reflection on creativity, memory and the homogenisation of art. Get ready to step inside the mystery – if you dare!

'★★★★★' Lilithia Reviews

★★★★½ Glam Adelaide

★★★★½  Hugging Comedians

Described as, 'what’s missing in Australian comedy' (Lilithia Reviews), Lauren Edwards is on a speedy trajectory as one of Melbourne/Naarm’s favourite emerging comedy talents. She has made a name for herself with her girl-next-door charm and relatability as the quintessential millennial comic. Lauren is returning to the festival circuit in 2027 with proven bankability and a string of critically acclaimed hours under her belt, including Everything is a Lie, Chihuahua and Brace Yourself, which saw her first team up with mentor and dramaturg, Claire Hooper.

In 2026 she collaborated with fellow comedian and writer, Sarah Bartolo, for the critically acclaimed Business Women's Luncheon: Level Up for Success! A campy and ridiculous romp through the world of pyramid schemes, which received two Judges' Picks from Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Lauren Edwards is a popular podcast guest and has also toured around parts of Australia, notably to Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane, and most recently featuring on the regional Women of Wit program. She is set to be a guest comedian at the 2026 Woodford Folk Festival in December.
