Noble Gentlemen

Noble F**king Gentleman

  • Australia

Noble F**king Gentlemen is a one act satirical/absurdist stage play with relatable characters and humorous moments that snap into times of darkness, sadness, anger and reflection. Big costumes. Big personalities. Real stories.

Noble F**king Gentlemen is a self-devised work made by a group of emerging artists studying theatre at Deakin University. This non-naturalistic piece uses personal texts written by the artists about womanhood and their experiences. In a new world where men in power have taken a whole new form, the Noble Gentlemen make a comment on how we as a society have gone back in time. The show touches on themes such as feminism, the patriarchy, objectification and sex-discrimination. Our work invites audiences to reflect on how a patriarchal society affects women. Our themes and personal experiences resonate universally, and aim to captivate audiences with humour and vulnerability.

Please note, the following performances will be filmed: Wed 08 Apr, Thu 09 Apr, Fri 10 Apr

Suitable for audiences 18+

Language – occasional coarse language

Political, religious or racial themes

References to sexual assault or abuse

Strobe lighting
