After more than 22 years of sell-out performances all over Australia and around the world, these cheeky monkeys are bringing their famous little show to one of Melbourne’s most loved natural spaces — CERES Environmental Park. This is not your usual indoor theatre experience. This is comedy, rhythm and joy... under the trees, surrounded by birdsong, fresh air and laughter.
Parents, imagine this: instead of sitting in a stuffy venue with no windows and restless kids squirming in their seats, you’re stretched out on a picnic blanket under the shade of a gum tree, coffee in hand, the kids drumming along, giggling and dancing on the grass. Where would you rather be? Indoors with fluorescent lights… or outdoors where your children can run, jump, dance and be free?
At CERES Environmental Park, you can relax and let nature do its magic while The Amazing Drumming Monkeys deliver their legendary blend of puppetry, live music, comedy and heartfelt storytelling. The show will be performed either on the Village Green or in the beautiful undercover Pavilion, depending on the weather and availability – both spaces are surrounded by greenery and the lively hum of nature.
This year’s monkey show, brings all the classic monkey fun audiences know and love – plus some awesome new interactive dance segments! Kids (and parents!) can join in clapping, drumming and dancing while the Monkeys perform hilarious comedy routines, introduce their daredevil special guests and finish with their signature Monkey DJ family dance party. It’s a full-on feel-good experience designed to get everyone up and moving!
