Thalia Joan

Tell Me About It?

  • Australia

There's a reason why Thalia Joan was nominated Best in Comedy 2024 (Sydney Fringe Festival) and you won't want to miss it. Known for her engaging and witty 'expert story telling', Thalia Joan has dug deep and decided, it's time to bare all to essentially the quintessential years that shaped her.

A one woman comedy show with sketch and songs unpacking the many different types of bad advice that constantly circulates (especially around women and how they should live their lives). Light hearted, quirky and meaningful.

Tell Me About It is a comedy show celebrating terrible advice, unnecessary life lectures, and people who think their personal experience is a universal law. It’s about drowning in opinions, losing your own voice, and realizing too late that maybe you shouldn’t have asked.

People are experts when it comes to…other people, especially when giving advice - the kind that starts with “Have you tried…”, “You should smile more”, “Back in my day”… and ends with your entire life plan derailed. It explores oversharing, overexplaining and over stepping whilst nervously laughing as your dreams slowly erode.
