Jenny Wynter

The Slumber Party Society: Live!

  • Australia

Dress code: Pyjamas. Entry fee: Your teenage truth.

Remember when a 'good night out' meant staying in?

Throw on your best flannies and join award-winning comedian Jenny Wynter in The Slumber Party Society, a live video podcast that celebrates nostalgia, cringe and hilarity and where the only thing higher than the hair is the emotional stakes.

Each show, Jenny invites a fascinating guest from the Festival lineup to join her onstage (in their PJs, of course) to crack open the vault of their teenage years. We’re talking excruciating diary entries, questionable love letters and the kind of vulnerable confessions that are usually only unleashed by a bottle of Passion Pop.

But this isn't just a chat show. After the confessions are spilled and the artefacts revealed, Jenny does what she does best – she instantly transforms the guest's story into a custom, original '80s-themed pop song.

It’s Dolly Magazine meets Spicks and Specks, with a dash of hormonal angst.

What to expect:

The Vibe: Think face masks, hair crimpers and the safety of a Babysitter’s Club sleepover.

The Music: 100% improvised songs that sound like they belong on a cassette tape in 1987.

The Schedule: It’s a 3pm matinee! You can laugh, cry, relive your youth and still be home in bed by 5pm. Or, use it as the perfect pre-game for a night out at the Festival.

Your Turn to Join the Society:
The Slumber Party Society is an interactive celebration, and we want you involved!

Dress Code: Pyjamas are highly encouraged! Whether it’s an oversized tee or a matching silk set, comfort is key. (Crimped hair and blue eyeshadow optional, but highly encouraged).

Bring Your Own Cringe: Have a dusty diary entry, a hilarious formal photo or a note passed in maths class? Bring it along! Audience members are invited to submit their own teenage confessions to the Pillow Talk box for a chance to have their story turned into an anthem on the spot.

Whether you were a Madonna wannabe, a Molly Ringwald devotee or just someone who had a lot of feelings, this is your safe space.

Cancel your plans for a big night out – the best party of the Festival is happening at 3pm!
