Rachel Tunaley

Recovering Eldest Daughter

  • Australia

When Rachel was born, her identity was clear – over achieving eldest daughter who had no choice but to be perfect. But what happens when that title is taken away from you?

Award-nominated artist, writer and pocket rocket extraodinaire Rachel Tunaley returns to Melbourne with her brand spanking new show Recovering Eldest Daughter and she's tackling the big issues (her family)!

Rachel's family is anything but conventional: neurodiverse, mentally ill, stubborn and unable to apologise for anything – you get the picture. But Rachel was always the one who had her sh*t together (or so she thought). A surprise gender transition from her older sibling forced Rachel to take a good hard look at her own identity within her family – if she was no longer the eldest daughter, was she still a bad b*tch?

'An extraordinary talent.' ★★★★½ Such Cliche

'Highly entertaining.' ★★★★½ Theatre Diaries Adelaide

'Quirky, catchy, witty and fun.' ★★★★ Lilithia Reviews

'Full throttle musical comedy.' ★★★★ Hugging Comedians

Suitable for audiences 15+

Language – strong coarse language
