Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Sunny Youngsmith Meaty Sue's Big Farma

Indulge in the meat loving maven, Meaty Sue, who is on a carnivorous caper as she seeks for her elusive brother, Big Farma! With her parents gone to the big barbecue in the sky, Meaty Sue's impending wedding day is missing a crucial guest of honour - her estranged big brother Big Farma Phil.

It’s crunch time for this uproarious and carnivorous protagonist as she embarks on a gut-busting quest. Armed with nothing but a spatula and a song in her heart, Meaty Sue sets off on a pork-tacular adventure filled with boisterous tunes, outrageous anecdotes, and enough meaty madness to make a vegetarian reassured with their life choices.

Sunny Youngsmith (they/them) is a non-binary multi-disciplinary artist based in Naarm (Melbourne) Australia. Their work focuses on exploring queer and neurodivergent perspectives as an actor, writer and producer.

Big Farma is absurd, silly and queer with a Kath & Kim twist. Worry not sweet vegans, this show is also for you.
