We are recruiting two Administration Assistants to join the Melbourne International Comedy Festival team.
The Administration Assistants work closely with the Office Manager in a support capacity on a wide variety of tasks related to the day-to-day business of the organisation leading up to and during the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
The primary responsibilities of these positions are the creation and maintenance of an effective, supportive, efficient Melbourne International Comedy Festival office environment to protect the sanity of all staff and the provision of a professional and accessible first point of contact for the public.

Applications for Technical Stage Managers and Production Casuals to help deliver the Festival program across Festival Managed Venues in 2024 are now open!
The Festival's venues range from 40-500+ seat venues within Melbourne Town Hall, Trades Hall, Chinese Museum, Swiss Club, Max Watt’s, Forum Melbourne, Arts Centre Melbourne, The Victoria Hotel, Rydges Melbourne, The Westin Melbourne and the Melbourne Museum.
Technical Stage Managers (TSM) are all-rounder technicians who can provide the technical expertise necessary across lighting, sound and vision to facilitate the shows in their assigned performance space. They work closely with artists, producers and front of house staff to ensure the shows run on time and are of high technical quality.
There are casual TSM roles across our Main Program (Tue-Sun evenings 28 March – 21 April); Monday program; and our School Holidays program (Tue-Sun daytimes 29 March – 14 April).
There are also a small number of casual Production Crew roles that have flexible working hours across the Festival that require a range of skills and expertise.
We also have an internship program for people currently studying who are looking for practical experience within the live events industry.
