Information for Performers

The 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival will take place from 30 March to 24 April.

We’re all looking forward with great optimism to 2022.

COVIDSafe logistics will continue to play a big part next year and we are working with relevant government departments to identify what restrictions may be in place and what capacities, indoor and out, we will need to work with.

Because it’s been another tough year, we plan to retain the registration flexibility we introduced for 2021.

To give participants as much time as possible to consider options, registrations for the 2022 Festival will open Thursday, 28 October and remain open for late entries through February 2022.

There will be a cut-off date for people wanting their shows to appear in the printed program (TBC) and as we get closer to festival time, and much busier, it will take more time to build new shows and get them up on the website.

Updates on registration key dates and related information will be rolled out over the next month.

To receive updates and all the latest information on Festival timelines, subscribe to receive Festival participant newsletters.
