Henry Zhu & Esky Escandor - Get Your Hands Off My Pinoys 2: This Time It's Poysinal

I can’t help but respect any comedians who end their set with a Kahoot quiz about the show they just performed! (especially when I come in first place…)

With the duo bursting onto the stage to Far East Movement’s legendary banger ‘Like a G6’ and their incredible (if brief) revival of Epic Rap Battles of History, I was happy to be transported right back to the glory days of 2010's internet.

Blending musical parody and stand-up, Zhu and Esky have great chemistry together! I loved Esky's failed attempts to be a hype-man for Zhu’s understated punchlines, with Zhu reciprocating by smothering any upbeat energy with the last word of each joke in Esky’s set.

Their self-depricating calls of “no refunds!” to the crowd throughout earned them a giggle each time, but I genuinely think they should feel more confident in the strength of their material!

I had a great time at this show from the moment I read the title, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
