Lano & Woodley - Lano & Woodley in Space
40 years on from their first performance on stage together, these silly boys are truly an inspiration to never lose my sense of child-like innocence and buffoonery.
Lano & Woodley’s natural chemistry is so infectious that they could probably get on stage without any material and still make us laugh for an hour, but their decision to make a rather poignant statement about the beauty of imperfect human creativity was a very welcome surprise.
That being said, I do wish that they had hired a VFX artist to produce fake AI imagery for their HAL-3000 inspired robot overlord character to “generate”, rather than displaying actual AI slop for large portions of the show, but their personal objections to it are so clear that I can’t blame them for utilising it for the purpose of mockery.
More than anything though, I’m very happy to report that in 2026 it’s still unbelievably funny to watch men walk into invisible walls for minutes on end.
