Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Live Nation & Jubilee Street

Bron Lewis Obviously

Live Nation & Jubilee Street

Bron Lewis Obviously

Bron Lewis is one of Australia’s most promising new comedians. She is a regular on Channel 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention? and a comedy writer for The Project.

She was the co-winner of RAW Comedy in 2022 and her 2023 show Probably sold out all over Australia and landed her a Best Newcomer nomination at Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Ever found yourself in a situation you have no idea how to handle, but it would be too embarrassing to admit it so you pretend you obviously know what you’re doing? Hello tax time, foreign toilets and parenthood! Riding the wave of her 2023 success, Bron’s 2024 show Obviously is set to be huge.

Bron is a natural storyteller, and Obviously is packed to the brim with hilarious anecdotes of times when she has found herself stumbling through moments of complete confusion with her fingers crossed and a smile on her face.

From joining a mother’s group and sitting next to the patchouli mum, to being held hostage in Africa by a man with a plastic police badge, Bron is no stranger to pretending everything is under control. Because obviously it is. Never shying away from an act-out, Bron’s comedic physicality and formidable stage presence bring every story to life.

Obviously will be an hour of laughter you don’t want to miss.

Obviously.

'Hilarity and humanity - a joy to behold.' Sammy J.

'Lewis has a skilful, natural delivery, in control of her material and holding the audience rapt without seeming to make an effort.' Chortle (UK)
