Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Annie and Lena Have A Talk Show

Annie and Lena Have A Talk Show

Annie and Lena are bringing a wild night of all the talk show hits – celebrities (played by us), musical guests (also us) and, most likely, some classic Annie and Lena sketches (played by us). You think you’ve seen talk shows before, but not like this.

If you’ve met the duo before, you can expect their usual unhinged brand of sketch, improv and audience participation, and if you haven't, you can expect those things too.

Sketch comedy duo Annie and Lena is made up of Annie Lumsden (she/her) and Lena Moon (she/her). They are Naarm-based performers, writers and comedians, who are all about farts, friendship and feeling good.

As individuals, the pair are both avid creators. In 2023 alone Annie performed in multiple acclaimed theatre productions as well as in ABC productions Utopia and Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe and Lena working in the script department for Thank God You’re Here (Channel 10) as well as performing in Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe and weekly live improv show Something Good. The pair is also involved in multiple award-winning podcast 'Starship Q Star' which was selected for ABC’s Fresh Blood initiative.

During their time together they have received a Melbourne Fringe Best Comedy Nomination, a Green Room Best Ensemble nomination and have produced four full hour sketch shows as well as two live stream online specials and toured nationally.
