In 2027, a meteor strikes and wipes out every comedian on earth. Every comedian – but one. Fifty years later, an arctic researcher discovers an ancient artform known as 'the joke'. In response, the Government decides to awaken the world’s last-known comedian from cryosleep – Con Coutis.

CON 2077 takes comedy to new heights through a sophisticated use of sound cues effortlessly weaved throughout the show. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and surround sound, the show creates a sonic landscape that enhances the humor and storytelling in ways that defy convention.

Con Coutis is a Melbourne-based stand-up comedian with a degree in linguistics. Aside from his smash-hit show Con vs Con vs Con, which was nominated for the Golden Gibbo at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and for Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe he has created three other full-length comedy shows: The Dark Side of the Room (2019 Melbourne Fringe), Daydream (2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival) and Half Steam Ahead (2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival & Melbourne Fringe). As a stand-up comedian, he was selected as a RAW Comedy State Finalist.

Aside from his extensive festival experience, Con has performed in some of Australia’s top clubs. Most notably, a week-long run at the Sydney Comedy Store, Good Chat Comedy Club in Brisbane, Oasis Comedy Club in Perth and Melbourne’s Comedy Republic – where he performed Con vs Con vs Con at the Replay Festival.
