Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Savier D'Arsie-Marquez & Joe Eidelson Dr Oblong's Ottoman of Oddities

Savier D'Arsie-Marquez & Joe Eidelson Dr Oblong's Ottoman of Oddities

Step into the twisted world of Dr Oblongs Ottomon of Oddities, a spine-chilling comedy sketch show that takes you on a spook-coaster ride through the supernatural and the absurd, wherein you will be escorted by the mysterious and underpaid Dr Oblong through a cavalcade of warped stories bringing out the kook in kookaburrasaur (Note. This is a playful combination of 'kookaburra' and 'dinosaur' [Does not exist in the real world just in your dreams]).

Come join Savier D’Arsie-Marquez & Joe Eidelson (A Dirty Kebab, Firm Grip) for a night of cackles and groans, where the creepy and cheeky collide.

You'll encounter a peculiar dimension where anything can happen, from the surreal to fish. Where things that go bump in the night also need to pay their mortgage. From awkward ghosts and aliens who just want to have fun, Dr Oblongs Ottomon of Oddities explores the lighter side of the strange and unreal.

Buckle up for a supernatural joyride that will leave you either chuckling or panicking quietly in the dark.

Dr Oblongs Ottomon of Oddities — because sometimes, the best way to face your fears is with a side of fish.

Come and join us if you dare! Dun Dun Dunnnnnn! Ahhh! Woah! Wah (Ooooo) Waaah.
