Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Emma Holland & Frankie McNair Emma’s Debutante

It's back by popular demand!

Emma (Emma Holland) is a 15-year-old awful girl ready to become a woman. And what better way to step into womanhood than with the party of the year thrown by her extravagant and horny mother, Michelle (Frankie McNair).

Emma and Michelle will host a debutante as they bring on some of the Festival's most beloved acts to perform for Emma and her guests (the audience). A celebration of alternative comedy, Emma’s Debutante is a line-up show that feels like a chaotic live-action soap opera.
