Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

EJ Rovedi For the Love of Jehovah

EJ Rovedi For the Love of Jehovah

For the Love of Jehovah is Sydney comedian Elliott Rovedi’s debut solo show being performed in Melbourne for the first time.

As seen on ABC’s Deadly Funny and host of podcast ‘What EJ Mouth Do?’.

Born a Jehovah’s witness to an ex-police officer and a homeschool teacher, EJ went on to graduate top of his homeschool class (a class of three including him), eventually finding his way out of God’s good graces and onto Sydney stages.

Come down for an evening listening to the good word of EJ Rovedi, a tale of how this bible boy squandered a perfectly good spot in heaven, in exchange for developing his own gospel and very, very layman philosophy on hopeless romance, even hopeless-er sex, mediocre day jobs, fortunes of family misfortune, crumbs and always almost doing your best.
