Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

MagicSports: Whose Trick Is It Anyway?

Magic Unlimited cautiously presents

MagicSports: Whose Trick Is It Anyway?

For three nights only you’ll see Australia’s top magicians improvising their way through brand-new routines as they create never-before-seen magic on the spot!

Hosted by magic legend Tim Ellis in his top secret venue, The Laneway Theatre, this is a rare opportunity to share a rare peek behind the velvet curtain.

'The variety and absurdity of MagicSports makes it not just one of the best magic shows you’ll see all year, but one of the best shows of any type.' The Plus Ones

'This is a magic show that does not take itself too seriously. I found it funnier than expected and was on the verge of wetting myself at the end of the show due to laughter.' Tay Around Town

'On Sunday night, we saw vanishing lipsticks, magic glasses and a magician drill through his arm. MagicSports can get messy as anything is possible when you have only minutes to perform your trick convincingly on the spot. My favourite challenge was Emotional Rollercoaster and MagicOke (like karaoke), where the magician sings their trick to a randomly chosen song. This kept the audience in raptures and cheering on both magicians and "willing victims" from the audience.' Weekend Notes
