Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Casey Filips Virtuoso

Casey Filips Virtuoso

WINNER 'Take a Chance Adelaide' Award 2024

Tobias Finlay-Fraser is the greatest actor of his generation. Only problem is, he’s played by little-known actor/comedian Casey Filips.

Virtuoso is a one-man comedy hour following the trials and tribulations of a pretentious idiot doing anything he can to win over the crowd, finally claim his overdue Oscar and save theatre from the cultural abyss.

Casey Filips is an actor/comedian from Melbourne, Australia. He's performed comedy all over the world including playing a sold out Leicester Square Theatre in London, the Palais de Glaces in Paris and a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023. He also studied clowning in Paris under famous comedy tutor Philippe Gaulier.
Virtuoso is Casey's first solo comedy hour and debut at 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
