2024 AACTA Awards Nominees Announced

The nominees for the AACTA Awards 2024 were released over the weekend and what a line-up! The awards recognise the best of Australian talent on our screens, and once again the nominees are filled with plenty of familiar faces.

The Best Stand-Up Special category saw nominations for Aaron Chen – If Weren't Filmed, Nobody Would Believe, Celeste Barber – Fine, thanks, Hannah Gadsby – Something Special, Jim Jefferies – High & Dry, Lizzy Hoo – Hoo Cares!? and Rhys' Nicholson's Big Queer Comedy Concert.

Best Comedy Performer nominations include Tom Gleeson (Hard Quiz), Luke McGregor (Taskmaster Australia), Nina Oyama (Taskmaster Australia as well as a nomination for Best Acting in a Comedy for Deadloch), Charlie Pickering (The Weekly with Charlie Pickering) and Cal Wilson (The Great Australian Bake Off).

Best Narrative Comedy Series nominees are Colin From AccountsDeadlochFiskGold DiggersUpright and Utopia; with Hard QuizRocKwizTaskmaster AustraliaThank God You're HereThe Cheap Seats and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering picking up Best Comedy Entertainment nominations. 

Winners will be announced for the 2024 AACTA Awards on Saturday 10 February, and for the AACTA Industry Awards on Thursday 8 February.
