Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

Crackpot Comedy

Crackpot Comedy is a Queer comedy extravaganza in the best suburb in Melbourne (Brunswick). Take a seat and put up your feet. We'll serve you a hot mess of up-and-comers and veterans of the scene in an all-inclusive LGBTQIA+ lineup.

Ingredients include Han Arbuthnott (How to Shave), Grace Zhang (Breast of the Fest), Luka Muller (triple j), Maddy Weeks (Antenna Award winner), Lucy Best (RAW Comedy State Finalist), Shyaire Ganglani (Funny for Comedy), Robyn Reynolds (Judge's Pick, Melbourne Fringe), Neptune Henriksen (Best Comedy, Fringe World), AJ Lamarque (Floof with AJ Lamarque), Anna Piper Scott (Queer & Present Danger) and more.

Blue vulva survivor, Freddie Arthur (Friday Funny Bugger, Triple R) will play your host, a harried '50s housewife who's had one too many happy pills.

Come celebrate Queer comedy at Unassigned Gallery, an artist-run space with bevvies on a budget.
