The People's Champion is a show for anyone whose sense of silly sits above the serious and agrees that playfulness trumps professionalism.

William Boyd, a Melbourne-based comedian who specialises in sketch character comedy, improv and doing the worm. William has intensive theatre training, being a past-graduate from Federation University's Arts Academy (Bachelor of Acting), world renown clown and theatre school Ecole Philippe Gaulier (Intensive Master Course) and The Improv Conspiracy Melbourne. 

The People's Champion is William's fourth original work. Having performed at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne/Sydney/Adelaide Fringe Festivals.

Smelling Good Productions is run by William Boyd and Connor 'Conk' Dariol. Based on Wurundjeri land, the company has produced comedy works for Melbourne International Comedy Festival (The Annual Chumsville South North Tavern Inn Open Mic Night, Long Play, Happi Hour) and Melbourne Fringe (Is Nice, Frequent Shit LIVE!), as well as creating podcasts in house ('Friend of the pod' and 'Smarter Than Before').
