Box Office
The Victoria Hotel Comedy Festival Box Office is located inside the main foyer of the hotel with entry from Little Collins St. There is step-free/wheelchair access from street level to the Box Office. The Box Office is open one hour before the first performance until 15mins after the final performance commences. All Comedy Festival box offices are cashless so only EFTPOS and credit card are accepted. Cash is not accepted.

Transport Information

Public Transport
The Victoria Hotel is serviced by both Swanston Street and Bourke Street trams. Go to ptv.vic.gov.au for public transport information.

Level access tram stops nearby are Stop 10 Bourke Street Mall, Stop 11 Collins Street (Swanston St/Collins St) for trams 1, 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67, 72 and Stop 5 Bourke Street Mall for trams 86, 96.

Car Parking
Secure Parking is proud to be a partner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. They are offering all Comedy Festival ticketholders discounted parking at selected car parks. The closest Secure Parking to The Victoria Hotel is 300 Flinders St. For more information about how to redeem the discount, please visit the Secure Parking website.

There are designated on-street Accessible Parking Bays available at the following locations:

  • Russell St between Bourke St and Collins St
  • Collins St between Russell St and Elizabeth St
  • Little Collins St between Russell St and Elizabeth St

The best spot for drop off and pick-ups is either on Russell Street or Little Collins Street.

Accessibility

Banquet Room
The entrance to Banquet Room is through the main foyer and the performance space is on the Basement level. There is a staircase to the left of the reception desk of approx. 10+ steps down to the Basement level and the performance space. There are then 4 more steps down to the performance space.

For step-free/wheelchair access, there are lifts on the right of the foyer down to the Basement level. Proceed past the Acacia Room through the basement foyer and then there is a MobiLift operated by Comedy Festival Front of House staff to allow for step-free/wheelchair access down to the performance space. Please note: the MobiLift has limitations in terms of the weight and size of the wheelchair that the lift can accommodate. Patrons may need to transfer into a manual wheelchair that is provided if the manual lift does not cater to the weight/size of their mobility aid. Accessible seating is available on the right-hand side of the performance space, close to the manual lift. A Comedy Festival Front of House staff member can provide assistance to your seat. Acacia Room
The entrance to Acacia Room is via an external door to the right of the main entrance doors to Victoria Hotel. Patrons should enter the main hotel foyer to queue and then will be instructed by Comedy Festival Front of House staff. From the external door, there is a staircase of approx. 10+ steps leading down to the Basement level and the performance space is the first room on the left.

For step-free/wheelchair access, there are lifts on the right of the foyer down to the Basement level. Acacia Room is on the left of the Basement foyer. Please see How to Book Your Ticket if you require step-free and/or wheelchair access in Acacia Room.

Boardroom
The entrance to Boardroom is via the main hotel foyer and is on Level 1. From the foyer, proceed up the large central staircase and turn left at the top. The Boardroom is down the corridor on the right.

For step-free/wheelchair access, there are lifts on the right of the foyer up to Level 1. The Boardroom is across the foyer directly opposite the lifts. Please see How to Book Your Ticket if you require step-free and/or wheelchair access in Boardroom.

Bathrooms
There are bathrooms available on the Basement level and on Level 1. Accessible bathrooms are available on the Basement level next to Acacia Room and on Level 1 next to the Boardroom.

Bar
There is a bar within The Victoria Hotel called Vic’s Bar that is up the main staircase in the centre of the foyer. This bar is not step-free/wheelchair accessible. Adjacent to The Victoria Hotel is the bar/restaurant Mister Munro and patrons can take their drinks from this venue into the performance spaces within The Victoria Hotel. This bar is step-free/wheelchair accessible via a ramp at the Little Collins St entrance.
