Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

NAIDOC Week 2023

It’s NAIDOC week - and this year the theme calls for us to honour the knowledge holders, the trailblazers, the advocates, the teachers and the leaders. ‘For Our Elders’ is all about giving them the recognition that is deserved for the vital role played in Indigenous communities and families.

We would like to pay our respects to the Elders we’ve lost and to those who continue fighting for us across all our Nations!

Get amongst some of the great events happening across NAIDOC week. Head to naidoc.org.au for more info or check out one of the events below.
