Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.

JN Comedy Productions presents

CockBagg Ye Olde Star Warze: Ye Olde Attack of Thy Clones (UK)

Every legend has… an awkward middle bit.

A long, long time ago, in a garage not that far away... the inevitable fourth sequel, which is actually set before it (which is actually Episode 2, but really the fifth one made... anyway) to Shakespeare's Ye Olde Star Warze was unearthed and 'transcribed' (rewritten) from the original ye olde English by those wordsmiths and good writings technicians, "The World's Greatest Actors"TM, Maurice Cock and Belvedere Bagg (CockBagg).

Presented live onstage as it should never have been seen before, witness the ongoing awkward origin of the villainous man in black, Darth Invader, as he hits his teenage years. Be enraptured and bewildered by the windswept romance of an infantile, whingey, horny ladyboy and his slightly too old for him girlfriend who was a queen pretending to be a slave but is now a senator, who clearly has issues (seeing she’s attracted to this psycho). Watch him descend into teenage angst and overacting as he loses his 'virgin' mother, a racially insensitive frog man somehow starts a galactic civil war, the guy that plays Dracula in those old horror films shows up, his magical monk mentor grows a mullet and a bunch of Kiwis show up and struggle not to say “fush & chups". Join all these star-crossed nerfherders and more (unadvisedly played by two actors) as they try to avoid the most obvious villain since Trump. At last, they can reveal themselves… ***zzzzzip***

Performed by CockBagg, who claim to be Melbourne comedians that have performed locally and abroad, receiving multiple nominations and awards, all while being massive nerds.
