Box Office
The Melbourne Museum Box Office is a mobile box office and will be located in the forecourt outside the Melbourne Museum entrance, or in the Museum Foyer (depending on weather conditions). There is step-free access from street level to the box office at both locations. All Comedy Festival box offices are cashless so only EFTPOS and credit card are accepted. Cash is not accepted.

Transport Information

Public Transport
Melbourne Museum is serviced by both Gertrude Street and Nicholson Street trams. Go to ptv.vic.gov.au for public transport information.

There is a shuttle bus service that is wheelchair accessible and stops on Rathdowne Street, opposite Melbourne Museum (Stop 5).

If you are traveling to Melbourne Museum by train, get the city loop to Parliament Station which has lift access to the top of Lonsdale Street, Melbourne Museum is then two blocks from Parliament Station.

Car Parking
Secure Parking is proud to be a partner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. They are offering all Comedy Festival ticketholders discounted parking at selected car parks. Accessibility

Theatre
The entrance to the Theatre is through the main foyer of Melbourne Museum. Once you enter Melbourne Museum the Theatre is based on the lower ground level. To get to the Theatre, take a left to go down the escalator to the lower ground level. Once at the bottom of the escalator take a right and the Theatre is on the left-hand side of the corridor.

For step-free/wheelchair access, there are lifts on the left-hand side of the Melbourne Museum foyer that will bring you down to lower ground level. Please see How to Book Your Ticket if you require step-free and/or wheelchair access in the Theatre.

Accessible seating is available on the right-hand side and the left-hand-side of the performance space, close to the middle of the raked seating. A Comedy Festival Front of House staff member can provide assistance to your seat if required. Please see How to Book Your Ticket if you require a step-free and/or wheelchair accessible seat in the Theatre.

Bathrooms
On the ground level of Melbourne Museum by the Schools Entrance, there is an accessible bathroom and baby changing facilities as well as an all persons bathroom, accessible bathroom and baby changing table beside the foyer within the entrance to Melbourne Museum.

On the lower level of Melbourne Museum to the left of the Melbourne Museum – Theatre there is an all persons bathroom, an accessible bathroom and a baby changing table available.

Bar
The Museum Market Cafe on the Ground Level is open during Museum opening hours with a variety of food and beverages.
